JAMES RIVER, VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JUG, salt-glazed, approximately one gallon, slight ovoid form with ringed mouth and strap handle. Brushed cobalt tulip decoration to front, additional cobalt encircling handle terminals.

Condition: Handle broken and glued, otherwise undamaged.

Circa : 1838-1863.
