STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SAUCE TUREEN UNDERTRAY, featuring the Arms of "CONNECTICUT", depicting a shield with three grapevines and ribbon below having printed motto "QUI / TRANS[TULIT] / SUST[INET]", and vine and flower border decoration. Marks include impressed American eagle with "T MAYER STOKE / WARRANTED / STAFFORDSHIRE" and printed eagle grasping ribbon with "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
Condition : Mostly undamaged having a few minute flakes to foot ring, light areas of discoloration to underside, and minor short scattered scratches from use. Manufacturing flaws, including stilt marks, as made.
Circa : 1826-1838.
