STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SAUCE TUREEN AND UNDERTRAY, each of ovoid form, comprising tureen featuring Passaic Falls, State of New Jersey pattern, depicting a mountain pass with waterfall in between and an undertray having "PASS IN THE / CATSKILL MOUNTAINS", as printed to underside, featuring mountainous and forested landscape with figures. Additional marks to underside include a printed American eagle and shield with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" to ribbon above and impressed "C". Together with a ladle having molded eagle head handle featuring one of Enoch Wood's Italian Scenery patterns. Three pieces total.
Condition : Undertray having rim hairline with associated very minute glaze losses; tureen with a minor flake to underside of handle tip, foot having flake to underside, and cover with very minute flake near rim edge; ladle having two minute flakes to end of eagle's beak.
Circa : 1818-1846.
