STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "WINTER VIEW OF PITTSFIELD MASS", as printed to ribbon on underside, featuring a mother and child with a sizable central elm tree encircled by a fence, and a charming New England town in background, having scalloped rim. Additional marks to underside include printed American eagle with shield and "CLEWS" below and impressed crown encircled by "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE".

Condition : Having moderate flake to underside, glaze wear to rim edge and foot, and scattered scratches from use.

Circa : 1814-1834.
