STAMPED "J.SWANN / ALEXA.", ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with squared rim, sharp shoulder, and incised shoulder ring band. Brushed cobalt indistinct spaced designs to shoulder.

Condition: Having moderate rim chip and flake to foot edge.

Circa : 1819-1822.
