STAMPED "S. H. SONNER / STRASBURG VA." SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "4" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with squared rim, incised neck ring, and applied arched handles. Brushed cobalt horizontal three-leaf design repeated twice to each side, additional cobalt at and below handle terminals.

Condition: Excellent, mostly undamaged condition having a minor flake to each handle.

Circa : 1854-1884.

Item Dimensions: 13 3/4" H, 10" D rim.
