square-form base with foliage carvings to edge, depicting a lady in bonnet sitting in a rocking chair doing embroidery work beside a split-rail fence, she has a wood body and bone head, hands, and embroidery frame, her thread extends to the bone material work box beside her which is carved and tinted with star and geometrical pattern, adjacent to the lady is a bone material firkin with a bail handle, reverse of base has a hand crank which is connected to the underside of the chair and allows it to rock and open the work box, facing with an applied label “HOME SWEET HOME”. Retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card.
