comprising a circular-form Royal Commemorative container with removable cover, interior of container with a royal blue paper lining and fitted with six spool reels surrounding a felt-lined thimble holder, outer-side with bone eyelets for dispensing thread with each having a number for thread gauge including two “40”, two “50”, and two “60”, interior of lid with paper label “Clark & Co.’s Extra Quality / Hand or Machine Sewing”, top of cover marked with pattern name of M’Farlane and two paper portraits with names under each of “The Grand Duchess Maria” and The Duke of Edinburgh”; and a Prince Charlie silk winder, marked with pattern name. Retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card.

Second half 19th century.
Container in very good condition with some expected wear, some minor scattered paper losses including one area with painted pattern, one spool pin replaced; silk winder undamaged.
2 1/4" HOA, 4" D and 1 7/8" x 1".
