Catalogue Note: Two signed jars of identical form have been recorded, one stamped for John D. Heatwole (see Kaufman, p. 19, fig. 13) and the other for Andrew Coffman (see Evans/Suter, p. 60, fig. 83). The decoration on the present jar is more closely associated with Coffman.
