rectangular-form box with intricate stylized scrolling inlay mother-of-pearl and abalone, facing with mother-of-pearl escutcheon key hole, hinged cover with bright pink silk interior lining, which opens to reveal a paper envelope/pocket, matching lined lift-out tray with pincushion, needle case, and a covered compartment; needleworking tools in mother-of-pearl including six spools with thread, six thread winders, a knife with shaft impressed “HINCH LIFE”, a pair of scissors, a tape measure with bone base, and a waxer, metal tools include a matching engraved thimble and finger guard, a cut-steel bodkin, an engraved pencil with amber stone to extension. Retains key with working lock, collection number sticker, and detailed collection card.
