rectangular-form with hinged burled cover and face, exterior with applied brass stylized medallions to the corner edges and a central example, additional medallion to the base face with a lock, each medallion secured by a round-head tack and with a central bone embellishment, interior cover with a quilted mulberry covering, lift-out tray over an open compartment, tray fitted with mulberry silk compartment covers and linings; fitted with various spools of Superior silk thread and needle packets, needleworking tools include a pair of sterling silver scissors with repousse pattern marked for Boots Pure Drug Company, a bodkin, and an elaborate sachet with label “A Tribute to My Sincere Affection”. Retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card.

Excellent condition, expected wear and some minor imperfections, one edge lacking a small piece of veneer, brass medallions with some buckling and detachment, one medallion with a tip loss and another with a split, silk lining with some scattered light deterioration; accessories in excellent condition.
