May EAPG Timed Auction

May 17-27, 2024

Auction Calendar

Featuring the collection of Jim and Sandra Hirzel of Reynoldsburg, OH. The Hirzel collection contains many iconic forms and patterns of EAPG, including a Washington water pitcher, a possibly unique Fine Rib with Cut Ovals water pitcher, a Bull’s Eye with Sawtooth jelly glass, and a stain-decorated Maine toothpick holder, among much more. Additional flint EAPG includes a near complete set of Argus/Early Thumbprint spherical covered compotes, only lacking the ultra-rare largest size. May will also continue with part five of the 5,000+ piece collection of the Minnesota Museum of American Pattern Glass, comprising the most comprehensive survey of stain-decorated EAPG ever assembled. The auction will go live beginning May 17 and conclude with a soft closing on May 27 beginning at 3:00 pm ET. All bidding will be through the JSEALive bidding platform only.

Soft closing with auto-extend feature

The published auction “closing” time is when bidding closes on the first lot. Subsequent lots will close every sixty seconds. Each lot displays a countdown clock showing its closing time. This staggering of end times allows for more comfortable bidding on multiple lots in the same auction. To prevent last-second sniping, any lot that receives a bid within sixty seconds of closing will reset its timer, adding another sixty seconds to its closing time. Please note that the extension of one lot’s closing time does not affect the closing times of subsequent lots.
