In Virginia, USA we are on Eastern Time (ET). We observe Daylight Savings Time (DST), therefore during the spring and summer we are on Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and during the fall and winter we are on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Because of DST, each year we adjust our clocks ahead one hour in the spring and back one hour in the fall. (Spring forward. Fall back.) The change always occurs officially at 2:00 am.
