Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates is pleased to announce its biannual Fine & Decorative Arts Auction to be held October 13 and 14, 2017. The two-day event includes fresh-to-the-market consignments from estates and private collections in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Oregon, and Florida, as well as material deaccessioned by a Virginia institution to benefit the collections acquisitions funds. Containing a diverse range of rare and desirable material, the large sale promises to be a noteworthy event.
Session I, beginning at 9:30 am EST on Friday, October 13, 2017, will feature an excellent selection of American, English, and Continental art glass, including a large collection of Steuben from the Thomas P. Dimitroff Collection of Corning, NY; the American and European art glass collection of Judith and Stephen MacArthur of Rockville, MD; select miniature and other lighting from the collection of Karen and the late Frank McWright of Bethel, CT; and a selection of studio glass including examples by Ercole Barovier, Fulvio Bianconi, and Charles Lotton.

Session II, beginning at 9:30 am EST on Saturday, October 14, 2017, will include period furniture; paintings, prints, and statuary; Asian art, ceramics, and accessories; a large collection of 18th & 19th century clocks and timepieces;18th and 19th century ceramics including excellent examples of English & Continental majolica; a fine selection of Nippon porcelain from the Dick and Mary Ellen Bittner collection of Thurmont, MD; fine silver and jewelry; part 2 of the George & Patricia Arden collection of 18th and 19th century European cut glass including a large selection of decanters; fine selection of American cut glass; plus more.
