Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will continue the dispersal of the massive 65-year collection assembled by Barbara Sisson of Charleston, WV in a two-day single-owner auction on March 23and 24 beginning at 9:30am each day. Mrs. Sisson collected across numerous categories and was a noted author and researcher of American paperweights.
Session one will feature over 2,000 antique, vintage, and studio paperweights including Baccarat, Clichy, St. Louis, Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., New England Glass Co., Kaziun, Ysart, other studio artists, Millville/South Jersey, an extensive selection of Degenhart, St. Clair, Blenko, Pairpoint, English, Italian, advertising, &c.; historical/figural glass including World’s Fair and political; large collection of Degenhart figural glass in every color made, most purchased directly from Elizabeth Degenhart; plus more.
Session two will feature over 300 antique pocket watches of all types plus watch chains and accessories; 1,500+ antique/vintage hatpins and stickpins, plus holders; a huge collection of vintage costume jewelry including Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Czech, Austrian, 100s of glass-bead necklaces, signed designer, mid-century, sterling silver, &c.; Victorian and fine jewelry including cameos, painted porcelain, bar pins, diamond and other rings, &c.
NOTE: An uncatalogued session will be held on Thursday, March 22 beginning at 1:00 pm comprising the final installment of the Ed Kleppinger estate collection featuring over 250 box lots of ruby-stained and other EAPG, plus tray lots of glass from the Sisson collection. These lots will only be available to bidders in attendance.
