Bottles, Glass, and Ceramics Specialist

Connor Rush

Connor grew up in New Jersey and at a young age stumbled into a lifelong passion for antiques through a chance encounter with an old beer bottle. This led to a quest for more bottles, prompting him to start digging – first in garbage dumps and next in privies. Soon Connor had obtained a collection of bottles and other glass which gave him an appetite for research and a desire to learn more and more about “old stuff.” In his continuing thirst for knowledge, ceramics began to catch his eye and before long he started collecting and researching American stoneware and earthenware. Most recently, Connor has developed a passion for Rockingham-glazed pottery, yellowware, and related molded wares. He joined the JSEA team in late 2023 and quickly became an accomplished researcher able to grasp fine points across many different categories from vintage cameras to comic books to historical prints, in addition to glass and ceramics. His love of Rockingham wares has resulted in him trying to bring everyone on board with his new motto: “if it’s brown, do NOT put it down!”
