William F. Kimbrough (VAR 4724)

Auctioneer, Vice President-Department Head, Americana, Fine Art, and Research Specialist (2013 to present)

William F. Kimbrough (VAR 4724)

Will grew up in Davidson, North Carolina and after graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in 1997 he embarked on what would become a sixteen-year career in secondary education as a teacher, coach, coordinator, and department chairperson. While pursuing his career in education, Will continued to cultivate his passion and his knowledge of various types of antiques and art by constantly researching, pursuing, and collecting early objects. Experienced with all types of early American material, Will’s special focus involves Southern objects, folk art, and furniture.

No stranger to JSE & Associates, Will has already worked with Jeff in many capacities over the years, and this previous experience has helped to make his transition from the classroom to the auction house a smooth one. Will joined the JSE team officially in the summer of 2013 and functions as a researcher, cataloguer, appraiser, and Americana specialist. He is currently expanding his knowledge base to include early glass, cast iron banks and toys, and ceramics. He looks forward to continued learning and experience in multiple fields and is excited about the opportunity to join the JSE team.

Currently commuting from the greater Richmond area where he lives with his wife and three young children, Will leads a busy life both at work and at home. The family is contemplating a permanent move to the Valley soon. As you can see from the above photo, Will has spent a great deal of time behind the wheel, and, happily, he can now reach the pedals!
